Awards Ceremony 2024
On Thursday, 10th October, the St Andrew's RC Secondary School community came together for a spectacular evening of recognition and celebration at our annual School Awards Ceremony. This special event honoured the outstanding achievements of our students in academics and extracurricular activities throughout the year. It was a night filled with pride, excitement, and inspiration, made even more memorable by the presence of our guest of honour, comedian Raymond Mearns.
The heart of the evening was, of course, the presentation of awards. From academic excellence to sports achievements and contributions to school life, we recognised the incredible hard work, commitment, and talent of our students across a variety of categories. Each recipient was called to the stage to receive their well-deserved accolade, and the sense of pride in the room was palpable.
Throughout the evening, several speakers, including our headteacher and student leaders, delivered inspiring speeches that reflected on the journey our students have taken. They highlighted not just the accomplishments but also the character, growth, and resilience that our award winners have shown in their pursuits. The evening’s speeches served as a reminder that success is not only measured by trophies and certificates but also by personal growth and determination.
We were also treated to a number of truly outstanding musical performances by the school Jazz Band, Ruby Kerr (solo) and Emily Nolan (solo).
The atmosphere was one of celebration and unity as students, families, teachers, and staff came together to share in the successes of the evening. The applause for each winner, whether it was for academic excellence, sporting achievements, or contributions to school life, was heartfelt and encouraging. It was truly a night that exemplified the supportive and encouraging community that we have built at St Andrew's RC Secondary School.
